The Life Clan
Background
Life clan is the first clan that was founded, whose totem god is Drefni Naruta. This clan does not have any natural connection to a distinctly strong natural or synthetic creation, instead deriving power from small ties to all things.
Magic and Elemental Affinity
Life clan also controls the sub-categories of Emotion and Thought, and as such are often known not just as life, but as the definition of sentience. Well practiced mages under the studies of 'life' are able to sway opinions, bend wills, and learn knowledge of other species. It is not unheard of for a life clan mage to be able to learn the languages of multiple species, such as dragons or birds. Species without high intelligence, such as fish or frogs, are unmovable by their magic, and often deemed 'for nature clan's purposes' instead. Mages are also able to take the life of something and place it to something else, or if talented enough, shapeshift, though very rarely has a mage ever been able to take a stable form for sustained periods. Very talented mages may be able to take the form of an animal and not only fit into their society, but also earn their trust, though tales of this capability are long lost.
Ties to Other Clans
Being a top-tier clan with Light often causes clashes and friendships between members of both clans, and the status of the alliance between these two clans is as fickle as a baenalkin is fierce. They share a strong, intertwined bond with nature clan as they both control like aspects of nature, and are on good terms with stone. Fire, Wind, and water are not enemies but have not made alliances and very rarely make contact.
Life clan is the direct 'creator' of dark clan, and as such, is welcoming of their members. Other clans feel that the recognition of dark clan as an actual member of the council is a wrongdoing, and as such, may lead to some hot-heated debates among members who feel that dark is not and is a real elemental power.
Morals
Although common in past ages, creating a new species is often frowned upon. Bending the wills of humans and semi-conscious species such as gryphons and hippogryphons is also frowned upon, except in extreme cases. The abuse of powers is often met with the punishment of placing the mage in a stone room, lined with moss, until they realize that even the small plant around them holds a voice.
The motto of the clan is "Fe Attu Dregas"; or "The Dragon Is Watching"; which represents that all actions, wrong and good, will be accounted for in time, and that honestly, truth, and kindness will be rewarded.

Life clan once held a long winded and very strong war against the forces of Light clan.
