General Information
In legends, the Auvis is a symbol - and sometimes a passer - of judgment. These tall, peculiar dragons seem to appraise your very being in a single gaze, and they refuse to associate with those of poor character. It is difficult to earn their respect, and this respect must be mutual. Although Auvis can fly, they can only do so by rapidly flapping, and so they prefer to run. Auvis wander deserts and grasslands and can cover miles of territory in a single night. It is only during the nesting times that they remain in one place for longer than a week.

A brilliant blue splash of color decorates the shell of this egg.
Baby Information
This hatchling is rather small, as hatchlings go. It reminds you of a horse foal with its long thing legs, and your hatchling is just as surefooted as it runs and jumps about. Curiously, its tail is coated in an oily substance that is difficult to wash off.
Teen Information
This hatchling is rather small, as hatchlings go. It reminds you of a horse foal with its long thing legs, and your hatchling is just as surefooted as it runs and jumps about. Curiously, its tail is coated in an oily substance that is difficult to wash off. Your hatchling has grown quite a lot larger. It has also fledged fully and takes any chances offered to practice flapping and flying - although at this stage it mostly falls. The oily substance you noticed on its tail has now started to ignite intermittently.
Adult Information
An adult Auvis is immediately recognizable by the brilliant, faintly glowing blue splash of color on its sides. The shape of this marking is unique to each individual and is key to identification, for Auvis have no natural scents. Their vocal range of barks, yips, and howls results in confusion with canids in the area. Auvis form bands consisting of a male, his harem of females, and his young; a boss female leads the pack. At first glance, the flames on their tails seem out of place and peculiar, but the fire deters predators; they can also use it to char food to perfection, fight, and to ignite brushfires to clear their grassland home ranges.
