The Family Index

The registrar sighs deeply before reaching behind himself to grab a faded tome with a tattered red cover. He blows the dust off the cover and reveals the gilded text- 'A Complete Guide To All Lineages'. He grumbles in annoyance- 'They are sorted by registration date. I'm not rewriting the whole book everytime someone decides to bond two creatures'- before he quickly hands it to you, and returns back to reading his magazine. Interestingly enough, it seems to have the cover title 'Cooking Without a Fullbody Hairnet'.

An uncomfortably animated family group to come from the Shardhall Keep. Rotclaw members are cunning and skilled defenders, although a tad bit prone to dramatics. They excel in keeping creatures away from their home, luring unwelcomed visitors away with their tricks - if deception fails, they can give quite the surprise by suddenly charging from the undergrowth, chasing away anything too stubborn.
Known to be quite curious and chatty to welcomed guests.

The Starsinger family is a line of artists - be it in music, dance, painting, or singing. These creative dragons are known to be quite well-tempered and patient, making their members a welcome sight throughout the Veil.

A family of demon hunting Midges started by the warrior Polaras. All Snowchasers are capable fighters, although any who choose not to join their ancestors' battle against the darkness are expected to still support it in other ways.
Snowchaser parents tend to pressure their offspring into this willingness to fight, often only settling with other areas of expertise if they are equally helpful to the cause. The family can be easily described as "traditional", as it's hard to persuade most members into changing their ways.

Introduced partners to the family gain the surname 'Snowlink'. All descendants of the founders are expected to have at least one egg in their lifetime; the idea of keeping the bloodline populated and having a legacy to continue the fight against the dark is one that's deep-rooted in the family's traditions.
Curiously, although the family's founders are accepting of other species of Midge in the bloodline, it seems that the rest of the Snowchasers took it upon themselves to avoid doing so; to the point that most will even treat it as a point of contempt.

(Eggs are available on request; if you're looking for something to spice up your lore, Snowchasers are open to spreading. Lore is expanding and changing often for worldbuilding)
