EDIT: solved, apparently you still need to wait for the creature to grow manually even if it's grown by a potion

i tried to brew a iceberg dragon hatchling grown with a potion, and i got a error message saying "You were unable to smelt this creature. It may be scouring, battling, have battle stones attached, have a companion attached, or is being sold." does anyone know why this is happening?
