what do i use ingredients for?

sorry for making another thread so soon. there isn't a lot of documentation on this game given its obscurity but i'm hoping for some more help. i'm talking about the ingredients i get from clicking, it doesn't seem like i can use them for alchemy or anything

Explore -> Quests -> Aszerath's Requests. He asks for a random assortment of items. A new quest appears after an hour or when you complete the current quest.
