If anyone out there sees this, what is the Eastern Infinity Pillar, what does it accomplish and do and what do I get from it? I don't remember anything from my last peek at this place

Clicking on the pillar repeatedly gives you messages and occasionally items. You can potentially get any item/familiar from the pillar, including alchemy and event familiars (and, if you're really lucky, an alchemy potion). There are two special creatures tied to the pillar event: the pillar seadrake and pillar caldony. Your best bet for getting these is to battle a lot and redeem edge tickets (collecting loads of the three pillar backgrounds in the process - 96% chance for a background and 4% chance for an egg), but you can also get the (very) occasional egg from the pillar. I think it averages out to an egg every few thousand clicks, which is why I suggest battling instead.

Pillar seadrakes are also an occasional result from breeding seadrakes of two different species while the pillar is lit, but what you'll get is a combination of the parents. For the truly wild results, you'll need to rely on battling/the pillar.
